Ruby Red with Silver stripes and the Ebony Leather and Custom Pack.

My question is, does the Ruby Red look as nice IRL? It’s hard to choose the colour on a car we’ve only ever seen in person wearing Black and Magnetic.

I’m guessing it’s the old “laser red” right? (I guess you can’t use the world “laser” in 2016, but in the 90's it was ok haha)

If so, yes, it’s a great color,the red on mine was al ittle different though...

That looks very smart, and that is coming from someone who doesn’t really like red cars (with a very small number of exceptions!), is it a metallic red? The silver stripes and wheel choice are what sets it off for me!

I have no idea! It’s the first time the Mustang has been offered in the UK so I know nothing of its past colours either.

Yeh it’s metallic, one of their ‘Premium’ paints although there only seems to be two that aren’t premium :/

Glad you like it, my dad doesn’t like black wheels, so I was hoping the stripes would pull in the silver into the rest of the car. It seems it has.

Not a huge fan of black wheels either, dark grey etc fine but I find most black wheels look a bit meh, so yes the silver wheels and stripes really do tie it together! My OH still keeps going on about getting a Boostang next year (I would love a V8 but it’s a bit impractical for us none millionaires where in the UK!), I would actually love one that looks exactly like this!

While OPEC is keeping my local V-Power below £1.10p/l the V8 was the better choice, especially considering my old man will be paying the £550p/a road tax(!) He has the money to spend on a car like this, whereas I do not, and whilst I am going to be on the insurance I’m sure I’m going to have to beg and plead to borrow it for a weekend :)

Still, minor victory in my camp.

I’m sure it was a little bit more than that by mine when I filled up the Abarth with it the other day, I don’t mind keeping the Abarth and DS4 in V-Power as they both average over 30mpgs and between them they do less than 14k a year, a V8 Mustang would hurt a lot. A Boostang would suffice, it’s still damn quick! Little bit jealous of you getting to the use a paid for V8 Mustang, I hope it’s your job to keep it clean, polished and waxed (like I had to with my parents cars back in the day in exchange for usage of them!).

Absolutely, everything needs to be as it was when I took it, and god forbid if I prang it. Please be under no illusion that I get to use it whenever I want either, this is very much his car which I’ve just helped him buy. I’m sure I’ll be happy stuck in my 60MPG Skoda -yawn-.

Love the red. Not so fond of metallics now that we’ve owned an Explorer with white metallic paint and had to have it repaired.

I don’t know how it looks on a Mustang, but that is the color of my truck and it is excellent on that. I’ve seen it on Escapes and Focuses too and it looks great on those so I would imagine it will look good on a Mustang too.

Ah white metallic, I know your pain. Apart from the Land Rovers I've only ever had metallic cars, and the only one that had any trouble with paint colour matching was my white Focus. It's surprising how much the white changes with a years sunlight.

I’ve seen a handful, I really like the color and I hate red cars. Don’t know about the silver stripes though. My interior is the same color, Ebony with the custom pack (white stitching), it looks fantastic.
